For this brief I had to create a hat to be photographed in a sustainable energy poster. The sustainable energy company that specialised in wind and solar wanted a set of posters with a 1950s/60s theme and to exhibit a headpiece reflecting the campaign. For this poster we were asked to draw inspiration from architecture, so to reflect the theme I looked for inspiration in Googie architecture. The overall hat shape was simple, with a small base that could be easily pinned to he head, with lots of card spikes attached. It photographed well, and when incorporated with a background and edited to look more '1950s' the headpiece worked really well altogether and the brief was met.
